Born in Flagstaff, Arizona, and raised in Toledo, Ohio, Timothy Breen now calls Lumberton, Texas home, where he continues a legacy that runs deep. With a Great-Great-Great Grandfather who served in the Civil War, a Grandfather who served in the Army, Uncles in the Marines and Navy, and Cousins in the Marines and Air Force, military service isn’t just something Timothy stumbled into. He joined the Army in the years following 9/11 after feeling called to selflessly serve his country, attending basic training at Fort Sill, Oklahoma.
He served four years as a Combat Medic, spending three and a half of those years with BAMC Troop Command at Brooks Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. Rising to the rank of Specialist (E-4), his responsibilities spanned maintaining medical readiness, providing emergency medical care, and supporting both clinical and field training operations. It was a role that demanded precision, composure, and an unwavering commitment to the people around him.
His time serving in the Army taught him discipline, teamwork, adaptability, and the importance of staying calm under pressure. Learning how to work with people from all different backgrounds and gaining confidence have shaped who he has become both personally and professionally.
So, when Timothy made his way into industrial construction, the connection was immediate. He joined Performance Contractors in 2019 as an Ironworker on the Sasol project, and from there he never stopped growing. Working his way from Ironworker to Rigging Foreman, and then to Night Shift Superintendent during the Train 2 Turnaround—Timothy has earned every step.
Today, he serves as a Lift Planner on the Novelis project, where his expertise and dedication are on display every day. All of the lessons he learned in the Army have carried over into how he approaches safety, planning, and leadership at Performance Contractors. He was drawn to solving complex problems and being part of projects that require teamwork and precision. The attention to safety, preparation, and execution in construction reflected the same principles he learned in the military. He’s all about serving others, building cohesive teams, and mentoring younger employees, and knows the best leaders never stop learning themselves.
Outside of work, Timothy enjoys spending time with his family, working on projects around the house, and being outdoors any time he can find in between. He is always down to explore new hobbies and add new skills to his toolbelt.
