Motiva – H-Block Mechanical Project

Performance Contractors constructed Motiva’s Port Arthur Refinery “H Block” which consisted of three operation process units (hydrocracking unit – HCU2, Naptha Processing Complex – NPC, and Cat Feed Hydrotreater – CHF) and a new power generation plant (PS4).

Over the 22 months we worked on this project, Performance installed 6,800 tons of structural steel, 757 pieces of process equipment, and 146 miles of piping. This $12 billion crude expansion project increased the capacity to 600,000 barrels per day in 2012, making Motiva Enterprises LLC’s Port Arthur Refinery the largest refinery in the U.S. and one of the top 10 in the world.
