Performance Contractors is excited to announce that we have been recognized once again for our commitment to safety. We took home a 1st Place award for safety, along with an award for innovation, and the prestigious Hal G. Ginn Award at GBRIA's 2025 Contractor Safety Excellence Awards.
Hosted annually by the Greater Baton Rouge Industry Alliance (GBRIA), this ceremony spotlights contractors who are raising the bar in safety. This year, Performance Contractors stood out in both safety and innovation, receiving the highest recognition from the judging committee.
Our 2025 safety initiatives were praised for their clarity, structure, and demonstration of how our programs translate directly into jobsite safety and operational excellence. The judging panel highlighted our hands-on and simulation-based training, as well as the way our FEP job planning tool streamlines tasks while keeping safety front and center. Our team and the safety programs they live by set the benchmark for safety leadership, and we couldn't be more proud.
Our "We Build Better by Building it Safe" program was recognized for its industry-leading innovation, earning us honors in that category as well. This program defines clear expectations for safety leadership at every level, requiring field management to be fully present on-site, opening and closing each day with safety meetings, and ensuring active participation in job safety analyses (JSAs). From foremen to construction managers, our team is fully engaged in cultivating a culture of safety from the ground up.
The program's impact earned additional praise from the GBRIA review committee, who named Performance Contractors the recipient of the Hal G. Ginn Award, their highest distinction in safety, acknowledging us as the top overall performer among all participants in 2025.
We are honored to receive these recognitions and remain committed to building better—by building it safe.
